Life Update: Japan Trip & Goodbye (soon) College!

So I went on a two-week solo trip to Japan for the first time last May and loved it so much that I bought another flight ticket to Tokyo in November!

I actually didn’t spend much time in Tokyo and was busy moving from city to city (and eating cheap delicious food, looking at pretty shrines and going to onsens) that I didn’t get a chance to shop at Otome Road or buy anything related to otoges (I was also traveling carry-on only so I had to ship the stuff I bought home) orz . Hopefully I can at least visit this time! If you guys have any recommendation on places to visit please let me know!

Also a life update: I am (well, if I have my way) graduating college this year!!!!!!

Man, they were right when they tell you that college is the “best four years of your life” (4.5 in my case I’m taking half a victory lap ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \) but they definitely left out the part where it is also frustrating, hard, and painful, especially after you pulled an all nighter and or cried yourself to sleep because of the impending doom that awaits you aka quizzes and exams and projects.

But I’m rambling.

I hope everyone is doing well! I was almost done with Kenka Banchou (and was enjoying it very much!) but I kinda got sidetracked while doing Hino character’s route. I realized I still haven’t finished a lot of the PSP games I bought years ago (Desert Kingdom, Bunmei Kaika, Seishun Hajimemashita, etc) and recently I’ve been playing bits and pieces but none I’ve completed 100%.

I’m also super behind on the recent PS Vita stuff lol. I intended to play CollarXMalice when it came out but I still haven’t gotten around to it.

But anyway, I really miss my fellow tome gamers! I haven’t been active at all on Twitter and obviously I haven’t been keeping up on new releases but the other day I was thinking about how I missed talking about both good games and kusoges and fangirling on seiyuus with you guys.

Hopefully I can write about another game sometime soon but until then I wish everyone a wonderful end of summer and beginning of fall!

It’s so good to hear from you ❤
Your trip sounds awesome and hope the upcoming one will be a blast!! Congrats on finishing college 😀 /sprinkles confetti and hope you stay well <33

    1. Amayaaaaaan /glompsback I miss you so much! The next trip will be my last trip before I graduate so I’m pretty excited ♡ I hope you’ve been doing well yourself and hope your job is going amazing! Thank you so much for welcoming me back ♡

  2. Don’t worry haha we all need to take breaks sometimes ^^ And man do I feel you here “they definitely left out the part where it is also frustrating, hard, and painful, especially after you pulled an all nighter and or cried yourself to sleep because of the impending doom that awaits you aka quizzes and exams and projects.”
CONGRATULATIONS for graduating!!! If you don’t mind, what is your major? Also, I hope you have fun in Japan^^ I really want to go back too!!

    1. *high fives then cries with you* my last semester started out pretty rough so I’m now wishing I had worked harder and finished in 4 instead of 4.5 ;(

THANKSSOMUCHIWANNAGRADUATESOBAD! I’m a computer engineering major which is a far cry from anything Japanese and also super painful lol. What are you studying? Are you graduating soon too?

I remember you were going on a study abroad program in Japan! Did that end already? D:

      1. HOLY CRAP GIRL I could never do that!! I’m majoring in bio for medicine but sometimes I want to quit because it’s not my passion. Internships have helped a little but damn….engineering…all the math *cries*

I have no idea when I’ll graduate lol pray for me. Yep! I had so much fun and made some great friends I still contact.

Where else are you planning on going in Japan?

        1. Are you thinking of going to med or vet school? lol I can never do what you do too that’s too much school I’ll go insane first before I come anywhere close to graduating 😂

Planning on visiting some friends in Osaka and Hakone! Other than that probably just wandering and escaping from real life lol. Do you have any recommendation? I’ve been to pretty much all the big sightseeing spots in the Kansai area (Byodo-in, Kiyomizudera, etc) so this time I’m also planning on staying at a Buddhist temple in Koyasan!

          1. Vet school but lately I’m not so sure. They get the highest student debt to income ratio and are the most underpaid in the medical field. I’m hoping a bio degree can get me somewhere lol.

Gurl what you talking about lol I’d go insane with engineering!!! That’s crazy! I’d be too afraid to do it.

Oh that’s great! ^^ I hope you have a great time with them. Hmm, well I only went to Kobe, Osaka, and Kyoto. If you go to Kyoto, the Kinkakuji temple is gorgeous. But that’s a tourist area…Kawaramachi is a really good shopping area about 20 min from the temple. There’s an animate down there along with several shops selling otoge merch.

            1. Yeah vet school is super competitive (isn’t there only like 10 vet schools in the entire country?) but the demand isn’t as high for vet students compared to med school students. My roommate is applying to med school so I’ve heard quite a bit about the whole process which sounds like a killer lol. Are you thinking about going to med school too or just vet?

Thanks! I’ll try to check it out then! 😀

            2. Good luck with everything! Hopefully you’ll be able to do something you really enjoy for a living! If you ever have any question about med school (I can ask my roommate) or (maybe!!!!) switching major to engineering let me know! 🙂

  3. Teruruuuuuuu! Congrats on your graduation!!!
Are you going to play kbo fd??

P.S. I’m also going to Japan this Nov-Dec! Do you have any recommended areas in Kansai region? XD

    1. Thank youuuu♡ I’m not sure yet! I think I will but it’s just gonna be a while before I do. 😂

P.S. Omg really?? Are you going solo or with friends/family? I definitely recommend Uji, Kyoto (where Byodoin is) and Osaka! If you’re into history/Heian era stuff there’s Genji Monogatari Museum in Uji that’s kinda obscure (when I visited there’s only like 5 visitors) but very pretty and informative!

If you have time we should have lunch or dinner together in Japan! :3c

      1. I’m going with a friend. 😀 Oooh! Thanks for the recommendations! We’ll be staying in Osaka and hopefully we can visit those places you mentioned!
        OMG yes we should! 😉👍✨
