So I went on a two-week solo trip to Japan for the first time last May and loved it so much that I bought another flight ticket to Tokyo in November!
I actually didn’t spend much time in Tokyo and was busy moving from city to city (and eating cheap delicious food, looking at pretty shrines and going to onsens) that I didn’t get a chance to shop at Otome Road or buy anything related to otoges (I was also traveling carry-on only so I had to ship the stuff I bought home) orz . Hopefully I can at least visit this time! If you guys have any recommendation on places to visit please let me know!
Also a life update: I am (well, if I have my way) graduating college this year!!!!!!
Man, they were right when they tell you that college is the “best four years of your life” (4.5 in my case I’m taking half a victory lap ( ﾟ∀ﾟ)ｱﾊﾊ八八ﾉヽﾉヽﾉヽﾉ ＼ / ＼/ ＼) but they definitely left out the part where it is also frustrating, hard, and painful, especially after you pulled an all nighter and or cried yourself to sleep because of the impending doom that awaits you aka quizzes and exams and projects.
But I’m rambling.
I hope everyone is doing well! I was almost done with Kenka Banchou (and was enjoying it very much!) but I kinda got sidetracked while doing Hino character’s route. I realized I still haven’t finished a lot of the PSP games I bought years ago (Desert Kingdom, Bunmei Kaika, Seishun Hajimemashita, etc) and recently I’ve been playing bits and pieces but none I’ve completed 100%.
I’m also super behind on the recent PS Vita stuff lol. I intended to play CollarXMalice when it came out but I still haven’t gotten around to it.
But anyway, I really miss my fellow tome gamers! I haven’t been active at all on Twitter and obviously I haven’t been keeping up on new releases but the other day I was thinking about how I missed talking about both good games and kusoges and fangirling on seiyuus with you guys.
Hopefully I can write about another game sometime soon but until then I wish everyone a wonderful end of summer and beginning of fall!
The year 2016 is upon us! I know it’s extremely late because it’s almost March, but I still want to wish everyone a very happy new year! I also want to celebrate Taiyou no Kousen’s (super late) fourth anniversary! My baby turned four last January! I can’t believe how fast time flies. Along with this blog, I’ve grown up too these past four years. For better or for worse, I’m no longer a starry-eyed high school sophomore from a relatively populated town in a rather funky but conservative state somewhere on the east coast.
It’s been ages since the last time I posted anything sooo… here you go! I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m still alive and I’m still playing otome games, although I haven’t been taking notes on them.
But I will take notes. Soon. Hopefully. Once I get this semester finished… which is in about a month and a half or so. I left my PSP at home, so that’s pretty much why I can’t post otoge-related updates right now. ヾ(:3ﾉｼヾ)ﾉｼ
I actually finished Seishun Hajimemashita! a while back (only the boys’ routes though, I’m not sure if I’ll do the girls’). I do intend to finish Getsuei no Kusari then start on something happier… like HatsuKare or Desert Kingdom. Something short and sparkly and bubbly and happy. Ken ga Kimi is also on my short list, so that’s coming as well, though I might do reviews instead of summaries because I’m a lazy bum.
Also, I noticed otoge companies started moving toward PSVita. Which is okay, but I don’t own a PSVita and I don’t plan on buying one in the near future, so I most likely won’t be able to play the newer games.
What else? Oh yeah, light novels. They’ll just have to wait.
P.S. I’m trying to revamp the blog’s layout, so don’t be surprised if you visit my blog tomorrow and things look super messy and different. (´･ω･`) I’m very artistic (not).
The long-awaited summer is finally here! I’m so excited because I’ve spent the past year working my butt off so I can survive freshman year of college… and I did! I’ve done pretty well and I can finally declare my degree-granting major at midnight tonight! It’s been a rough year, but hey, I’m back to otome gaming/drama cd spazzing/light novel heavy-breathing and stuff.
I have TONS of light novels I still have to read, and the one thing I just can’t do is reading inside a moving vehicle. I’ll be traveling around this summer so I’ve decided I’m gonna plow through my light novels first. I’ve also figured Seishun Hajimemashita! bug out (the one which prevents me from moving on to another route), so that’s on my agenda also. I’ll try to be as active as I can before college hits again!
Taiyou no Kousen ~千年恋物語~ wouldn’t have come this far if it wasn’t for your support: fellow otome bloggers, loyal readers and commentators, lurkers, and even people who just end up here by accident.
So, to you, wherever on Earth you are, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I know I haven’t done much this past year but it’s been fun—I’m hoping to get more active and know a lot more of otoge lovers! May our 乙女心 stays forever! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧Maybe I’ll treat myself to a cupcake if the weather is nice this afternoon.
